Having replaced our yearly chalet, for 2012 we decided to organise an overseas trip to PHUKET, Thailand!!
It was sad that Song Wei could not make it to the trip as he just got a job & could not join.
But I still traveled with the rest of my sec sch clique, Ting, Glynis, Xinni, Ning, Nick, Song Yong, Rainier.

Phuket 3D2N 7-9 Jan 2013
7th Jan (D1)
Had our flight at 1150am, and reached Phuket during the afternoon. Phuket was 1 hour earlier than SG. UTC +7
We arrived at the Airport and luckily some salesperson pulled us to his shop for van service. So we purchased a van service to our hotel + a package tour to Phang Nga Bay (James bond island etc) at 1800baht. Else sy was worrying how we gonna get to Phang Nga Bay on Day 2.
We traveled for almost an hour and reached Lamai hotel, however the driver passed Junceylon shopping centre & our hotel as he heard Laimai & turned to Baan Laimai instead. Luckily we showed him our itinerary with the hotel picture & address and it was just a turn away.
We had 3 rooms, queen size bed. :D & it was quite spacious for 1 of the rooms. We did re-arrange the rooms a few times, as we had not decided the allocation of people before the trip. It was quite an irony that 5 girls shared 1 room, while 2 guys shared 2 rooms. But we managed to squeeze 5 girls in a room with an extra bed. :) It was because we didnt want to split up into 2 rooms with 3 & 2 girls each.......
Headed to Expo Market and got onto a taxi with 2 rows of 4 ppl sitting face to face each a huge gap at the back, thus Rain had to sit at the end to block the gap in case anyone falls out. Just that he suffered due to being too tall & had his head banging the roof. :x
Shopped and ate some Thai canteen style food (cheap) eg. Pad thai, Chicken noodle (Meesoto like soup), some omelette rice thingy (seems western), and tom yum (which the guys ate for 2nd round while we were continuing shopping)

8th Jan (D2)
Went to Phang Nga Bay from morning till 7+pm..
Toured in a boat named Silver Hawk. Lunch was a boat too with buffet style dishes. After that hopped onto a canoe with Xinni & sy, while the rest split up. Every canoe had a "tour guide" that rowed & explained certain highlights to us. I think you can request to row yourself, as there we saw a few that done that.
Dinner found Kim's and settle there, after that walked around and soak up the night life while enjoying our last night there. Bought street food & shopped a bit before heading back to our hotel and decided to do a foot massage while some did back massage. It was only 300 baht which is $12/h!!! Super cheap.. While we were doing massage, some guys went to walk around & they rmbed to purchase Egg Cheese pancake for us.. Yummy our fav throughout this trip :D After massage we saw another pancake store near our hotel and we purchased yet another banana pancake, which for xinni & me ate the most.. It was 1am already when we settled to slp after packing up.

Informed our hotel the previous day to hire a van service for us as they do not offer that service, but there was mis-communication and end up they asked us to ask around near our hotel for taxi/van & recommended outside our hotel. So my friend asked and it cost 1200baht for 8 ppl van to airport.
As we initially planned to abandon our Wat Chalong trip as it was quite rush, we decided to go Patong beach. However, we did not have enough time and went for our breakfast at Junceylon eating Macs & Fuji Jap Restaurant(Super cheap & delicious!!) & Ice cream session. Last minute shopping before our van service pick us at 130pm. Home sweet home.
